Javakhishvili's winery will
impress you as it is recently established winery by one of
Kakhetian families. The winery is built in the middle of wine
gardens and actual processing of grapes takes place here. The
owners produce qvevri wine, which has stronger aroma and
distinguished taste.
The hosts arrange special
concerts with singing and dancing performances.
Along with these activities
on harvesting season you can personally participate in grapes
smashing process. In the cellar there is grape smashing vessel cut
our of the branch of the tree. The liquid separated from the
grapes is sent to qvevri for fermentation purposes, which takes
about 6 months.
The guests are offered
locally produced wines. The hosts also organize master classes in
churchkhela making and other traditional Georgian dishes
preparations.
